Maryland leader in commercial and business insurance, East Insurance Group, recently celebrated their relationship with the local community by announcing they are offering an exciting scholarship program for people entering the truck driving field. The company will be providing $250 scholarships to students who qualify and are seeking a CDL to become professional truck drivers.

When a company does very well meeting the needs of their local community and prospers it’s only natural that they feel desire to also give back in this area. Many companies who operate in the business insurance sector agree, including the Maryland based East Insurance Group. The company recently announced the launch of their Truck Driver Scholarship Program, where they will provide $250 scholarships to students who are pursuing a CDL on the way to becoming professional, well paid truck drivers. Applying is simple, an applicant simply has to write to company and tell them in detail why they want to become a truck driver and how this will help their lives.

Once they have completed the application, and have been accepted by the Scholarship Program, they will then have to take part in the rigorous journey and training into becoming a CDL approved driver. The successful applicants will need to learn everything they need to learn about how to become a truck driver, and how to drive around the roads safely; causing no harm to others. Being a truck driver can be rewarding, but it can also come with its own set of risks, so being able to educate themselves in programs like this can help them to be successful and safe truck drivers.

“We’re always looking at ways we can give back, “commented David Meltzer, owner of East Insurance Group. “Our economy runs on trucks and becoming a truck driver is a way a person can quickly improve their lives in many ways. We’re happy to help make this kind of dream come true.”

Applicants can submit their essay on what pushed them to pursue a career in the trucking industry starting January 1, 2016 up until February 29, 2016. The winners will be announced on March 31.
