It is our greatest job and privilege to support professional drivers as they continue to keep our country moving, while delivering supplies to our communities.

Starting today, we are beginning our donation campaign with the St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund (SCF), a professional driver charity that helps over-the-road and regional semi-truck drivers and their families when an illness or injury causes them to be out of work. The SCF also works to provide programs that will benefit professional drivers and the trucking industry.

While supplies last, all U.S.-owned and operated Pilot Flying J Travel Centers and participating One9 Fuel Network stores will be selling ribbons for $1 each in support of the organization. All proceeds will go toward the fund.

Each ribbon is comprised of the American flag colors of red, white, and blue – each color representing a specific meaning within the industry. If you too want to show your support during this time, whether you are a business or a home, then you may want to look into telescopic flagpoles for your American flag, so you too can wave the red, white, and blue colors:

  • The RED = the fact that truckers are the lifeblood/heartbeat of America
  • The WHITE = the faith and hope their families at home have that they will get the job done safely and return home
  • The BLUE = stability and dependability of our highway heroes

Assistance from SCF may be in the form of direct payment to providers for household living expenses, such as rent/mortgage, utilities, vehicle payments and insurance. The fund also provides health and wellness programs for drivers, such as free vaccinations and smoking cessation assistance, with the aim of preventing some medical illnesses and negative effects.

Truckers needing assistance from SCF can apply at truckersfund.org/application. To donate to SCF’s mission to support truckers and their families in financial need, visit truckersfund.org/donate.
