The TQL Foundation donates $75,000 to nonprofits that support carriers and their families

Cincinnati (Sept. 19, 2024) — Total Quality Logistics (TQL), the second-largest freight brokerage in North America and one of the largest global third-party logistics firms is celebrating National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. The TQL Foundation is donating $75,000 to honor the carriers and their families that keep America moving.

National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, held this year from Sept. 15-21, is an annual tribute to the professional drivers who deliver freight safely, securely and on time, and the families that support them.

TQL’s network of 140,000-plus carriers is among the American Trucking Associations’ count of 3.6 million professional drivers nationwide.

The TQL Foundation is pledging $50,000 to the St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund and $25,000 to Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT).

The St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund assists carriers and their families when an injury or illness prevents a driver from working. The nonprofit provides diverse services and programs, including free health and wellness programs that benefit professional drivers and the trucking industry.

“Truck Driver Appreciation Week is an opportunity to shine a light on the men and women that move our country and say an extra thank you for jobs well done. TQL’s generous donation is a testament to their appreciation of our highway heroes and will ensure drivers and their families have support when they need it most,” Shannon Currier, Director of Philanthropy for St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund said.TAT stands committed to educate, equip, empower and mobilize members of key industries to combat human trafficking.

“We are so grateful for partners like TQL, who are using their leadership position within the trucking industry to make an impact in the fight against human trafficking. We know that when more front-line employees and drivers are trained on how to recognize and report human trafficking, lives are saved. TQL’s support is helping us to move the needle and advance our mission all across North America,” Esther Goetsch, TAT’s executive director said.
