If you were at MATS and didn’t visit the Cause We Can Cafe in the Papa John’s parking lot, you missed a feast! The MATS crew this year held a surf and turf dinner to benefit St. Christopher Truckers Fund. Steak and lobster were the entrees of the night. Drivers and others came from all around the area to partake in the fabulous food and fellowship.Donations were accepted but not required.
One family shared a testimony of attending the dinner last year and were ashamed because they were unable to donate any money. They had come to the show looking for work and hadn’t eaten in several days. They were treated with the same dignity and respect that everyone who visits the cafe receives. This year this same family came back to the dinner and made a large donation in appreciation.
We are grateful for the support of organizations like the Cause We Can Cafe!
