IMI PARTNERS WITH ST. CHRISTOPHERS, SUPPORTS TRUCKERS IN NEED
70% of Truck Drivers in the US have Serious Health Problems
LOUISVILLE, KY – IMI donated $5,000 to the St. Christopher’s Fund (SCF), at the Red Eye Radio VIP Fleet Party Thursday evening. IMI was honored to be able to give back to the drivers who have supported them and make up the backbone of trucking.
St. Christopher Fund is a charity focused on supporting commercial truck drivers with medical troubles leading to financial difficulty. Assistance is provided for medical services, prescriptions, and recovery expenses. The fund also supports drivers with negotiating medical bills and setting up payment plans. Since 2008, over $1 million has been raised.
“There is little worse than having a major medical issue,” said Bob Fogal, CEO of IMI. “The impact can be aggravated by financial hardship during and after the issue. Drivers, who are paid for being on the road, see an increased impact when sidelined with medical issues.”
IMI encouraged Facebook users to ‘Like’ the IMI Products page to support drivers in need. Drivers, IMI customers, and others answered the call. For each ‘like’, IMI donated $1.
