Core:

Trunk Twists: Loop the resistance band through the door handle. With the truck door handle to your right or left side, grab the resistance band handles and twist in the opposite direction while flexing your core.

Targets: Obliques

Basic Crunches: Everyone knows how to do crunches, and for good reason — they’re easy, and they give results! Lay on a yoga mat. Flex your abs to raise your torso towards your knees.

Targets: Abs

Planks: Planks are a little different in that they’re an isometric exercise — your muscles aren’t lengthening and shortening as you perform the movement. To do a plank, lie on a yoga mat as you would for a push-up. This would be a top inner chest workout for anyone to do, as this will allow you to focus more on getting a stronger upper core, as well as building muscle. Support your weight on your forearms and toes. Keep your body in a straight line and hold for desired time.

Targets: Abs

Arms:

We conclude this exercise routine by performing some arm workouts for truck drivers. We all know they can get pretty stiff and sore after a day of driving, so work them out with these three exercises.

Preacher Curls: Again looping the resistance band through the door handle, stand away from the truck and pull the band towards your chest, focusing the movement on your biceps.

Targets: Biceps

Bicep Curls: Stand facing the door of the truck with the band looped through the handle. Hold one resistance band handle in each hand with arms extended out straight. Raise bands until arms are vertical. Return to starting position and repeat.

Targets: Biceps

Tricep Extensions: One last time, with the band looped through the door handle, stand facing away from the truck. Hold the handles of the resistance band behind your head, and push forward by extending the forearms until the elbows are straight. Return to beginning position and repeat.

Targets: Triceps

And there you have it — a great exercise for the road using only a resistance band and your truck! See?! There are many different workouts for truck drivers to do on the road. If you’re looking for an even more intense workout, repeat this routine as a circuit. Complete it once through, repeat, and pat yourself on the back because you just KILLED IT
